Samsung unveils new Odyssey series at Gamescom 2022

At Gamescom 2022 Samsung announced its new lineup of Odyssey gaming monitors, including the innovative 55-inch Odyssey Ark curved design. But the new Odyssey G70B and G65B also take image quality and performance to another level.

Samsung this year wanted to impress gamers from around the world who were at Gamescom. As Hyesung Ha, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, explains, the event is hugely important to the gaming world and Samsung valued putting the gaming experience at the center.

Ark: a truly amazing screen

The new Odyssey Ark has a 55-inch, 1000R curved screen that offers a truly new vision for gamers. You can adjust it both vertically and horizontally, taking advantage of the Cockpit mode that optimizes the screen environment with HAS (Height Adjustable Stand), tilt and rotation features.

Quantum Matrix technology powered by Quantum Mini LEDs delivers stunning images, thanks in part to 14-bit processing enhanced by 16,384 levels of black. Made with Samsung's Matte Display and Sound Dome technologies , it gives cinema-level performance while you play. Also thanks to the four speakers and two central woofers, with 14-bit processing, enhanced by 16,384 levels of black.

The 165 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time (GtG) with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro allows for maximum gaming, including via the Samsung Gaming Hub for streaming gaming. In addition, find the Ark Dial for using various settings (and it is also solar rechargeable).

Samsung also unveiled the Odyssey G70B and G65B monitors, which offer smart features even without connecting them to a PC. You can indeed mirror your smartphone connect Windows PCs and Macs with Samsung DeX, as well as enjoy Netflix and Amazon Prime and all the streaming you want.

They have a Far Field Voice microphone for Bixby and Alexa, which you can call up even when the PC is off. The G70B comes in 28 and 32 inches and with 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time (GtG). The flat IPS display with UHD resolution, powered by NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, allows you to play games to the max.

The G65B measures 27 and 32 inches, has refresh rates as high as 240 Hz and a response time of 1 ms (GtG). QHD curved display, 1000R, FreeSync Premium Pro: everything you need for competitive gaming.
