Dynamic Computing Services

Dynamic Computing Services provides you with all the performance you need. The computing power and storage capacity can be adapted to your needs, IT costs are optimised and you only pay for what you really need. Opt for a redundant IT infrastructure in highly available Swiss computer centres that are protected against interruptions.

Data Center Services: the virtual computer centre
The Dynamic Data Centre is the high-performance and efficient data centre on the Swisscom cloud. Configure processor power, working memory and storage capacity without the burden of planning setup or integration. If you need more RAM or less, for example, you only have to change the configuration in the management tool. Thanks to the DCS portal and vCloud Director, it is so simple that you can do it yourself. In addition, new users can register directly on the Internet and start working with the production system within a few hours.
Dynamic Storage (S3): always sufficient storage capacity
With Dynamic Storage you supplement your local storage with a solution that is available everywhere and geo-redundant in the cloud. Data are stored in a Swisscom computer centre in Switzerland with 24-hour high availability. Dynamic Storage is a scalable Managed Service with flexibility and is particularly suitable for large volumes of data. For example, as a backup, restore or archiving solution for securely externalising important business data. And also for Disaster Recovery solutions, this virtual storage is the perfect add-on.
Disaster Recovery: robust IT services
Interruptions, data loss and malware attacks are real dangers for IT services. DCS includes various measures to effectively protect your IT infrastructure: redundant data centres, memory mirroring with backup function, high-availability S3 storage backup and VMware Cloud Director disaster recovery - either on premise in your data centre or directly on our virtual cloud platform.

Your advantages

Agility: adapt your IT infrastructure to your needs at the touch of a button
High availability: your IT is redundant in Swisscom's Swiss computer centres, which are protected against interruptions (ISAE 3402, ISO 9001, 14001, 20000-1 and 27001 certified as well as GDPR/RGPD)
Flexibility: your virtual network integrates seamlessly into the Swisscom cloud (Enterprise WAN or BNS)

Microsoft Azure

Azure is the cloud platform created by Microsoft to enable organisations to create, deploy and manage services and solutions that previously required investment and deployment in local services and infrastructure.

In this context, we talk about Iaas (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and PaaS (Platform-as-a-service): what you pay for is just the use of a service, a factor that reduces companies' costs linked to the production, maintenance and management of local infrastructures, as well as the difficulty of sizing resources for the future.

Data Center Services
Leverage multi-layered security across physical data centres, infrastructure and operations with Azure. Help protect corporate assets and data with industry-leading physical security systems and a comprehensive portfolio of compliance offerings and privacy standards.
Automatic scalability
Automatic scaling, a default feature of Cloud Services, Mobile Services, Virtual Machine Scaling Sets and Websites, helps applications achieve optimal performance when demand changes. Of course, the term "performance" has a different meaning for each application. Some apps depend more on the CPU, others on memory. For example, your web app might handle millions of requests during the day and none at night. Automatic scalability allows you to adapt your service according to these needs or to customised metrics defined by you.
Emergency recovery
Azure offers a simple, secure, scalable and cost-effective end-to-end backup and disaster recovery solution that can be integrated with local data protection solutions. In the event of service interruptions or accidental deletion and corruption of data, you can restore business services in a timely and orchestrated manner. Azure's backup and disaster recovery solution is simple to design, cloud-native, highly available and resilient.

Your advantages

Economical: no costs for purchasing hardware infrastructure or for its maintenance
Scalable: no more local data centre sizing issues: you only pay for the space you need.
Secure: thanks to geographically replicated data centres, you can count on up to 6 copies of your data. Availability is guaranteed 99.9% of the time per year
Efficient. Once the first copying activity has taken place, only incremental changes will be sent at a defined frequency - thanks to compression, encryption and bandwidth limitation.
Privacy: your data is always encrypted, both in transit and on disk, and only you have the key: not even Microsoft knows it

Why Azure?

thanks to geographically replicated data centres, you can count on up to 6 copies of your data. Availability is guaranteed 99.9% of the time per year
Self-help resources included for all Azure customers at no extra cost.
Microsoft Azure has an intrinsic advantage: that of being natively integrated with the world's most popular productivity tools. We are talking about Office 365, for example, and what is becoming Teams.
