For a smarter, safer world

Our experience working with network video and audio solutions, analytics and access control helps to protect people and property, optimise processes and increase business efficiency and access to information.

Protecting property and profits

It's no news that cameras are an important component of an effective building security system. But many people don't know that not all cameras are the same, or that Axis and its partners' network video solutions can not only protect people and property, but also save money and preserve profits. Axis' video surveillance solution enables people to enter rooms more safely and efficiently, and helps you lower energy consumption and meet environmental goals - all while controlling multiple entrances, large rooms and long corridors with the same precision.

Axis access control is not only about openness but also agility. When planning your access control solution, you get flexibility for your needs today and in the future. Unlike traditional access control systems, Axis' system is optimized and edge-based. Connected and powered by your existing network via PoE IP, our solutions avoid complicated and time-consuming cabling to a central server. This not only saves material and labour costs, but also simplifies future changes.

Number plate recognition

Number plate recognition (LPR) has always been expensive and only ideal for a limited number of applications.

The rapid development of IP cameras now allows a wider use of automated LPR solutions. Depending on requirements, they can help increase daily efficiency, service levels or security.

Our LPR solutions are based on an Axis camera and partner software that runs on the camera or on a server. It automatically captures the number plate in real time, compares it or adds it to a predefined list and takes the correct actions, such as opening a gate, adding a cost or generating an alert.

Depending on the surrounding light, the solution may require cameras with integrated IR light or additional light sources for optimal performance.

Parking management where it simplifies or even automates payment, entry and exit
Toll roads to allow free flow through toll stations
Airport traffic management, to ensure that only authorised vehicles can access the fast lanes for public transport or taxis
Access control, where the gate is only opened to authorised vehicles and all visiting vehicles are automatically registered
Vehicle alerts, in which the solution sends an automatic alert when one of the vehicles on a checklist passes by

People counting

The number of people in an area at a specific time, their movements, meeting points and peak occupancy periods is valuable information. You can use this information to plan accordingly, take immediate action and improve service, operational efficiency and profitability.

Access to immediate information about people's behaviour is a competitive advantage in many industries. Axis video-based people counting solutions enable you to capture and analyze data and identify ways to improve operational efficiency. It is a reliable and cost-effective way to count people and understand the flow of movement within your premises. You can set up alerts that are triggered based on the number of people in the room at a given time. Direct access to people counting data provides real-time information for quick decision making.

The rapid development of IP cameras now allows a wider use of automated LPR solutions. Depending on requirements, they can help increase daily efficiency, service levels or security.

Informed decision-making

Tracking the number of people entering and leaving your premises and opening hours can help you make informed decisions and increase operational efficiency by planning based on numbers. You can analyse trends and identify peak occupancy periods and determine staffing and opening hours accordingly. You can even provide the information to the public on your website. You can also act immediately in response to triggered alerts based on set thresholds for the number of people entering or leaving. Whether you want to evaluate shop performance, adjust opening hours or reduce costs by optimising resource allocation, people counting provides you with useful information.

Estimated employment

If you know how many people are in your premises or area at any given time, you can analyse occupancy data and make informed changes. You can use the information to analyse the flow of people within an area, improve the use of space, allocate resources effectively and take action if occupancy levels exceed a set threshold. You can set occupancy thresholds that trigger actions such as automated voice messages through a speaker or sending alerts to supervisors. You can therefore improve people's experiences while optimising costs. And when our solution is integrated with a building management system, you can optimise the use of your HVAC system and therefore your energy consumption.
