Microsoft 365 news from the Inspire conference

Three main innovations for the Microsoft Cloud world were presented:

• Dynamics 365 - Microsoft Teams
• Windows 365 moving the PC to the Cloud

But what are they and what benefits do they bring?

Dynamics 365 in Teams

This difficult period has led us to work more and more remotely, and Microsoft Teams is one of the most used software for this purpose. To improve collaboration between users Microsoft has decided to allow Dynamics 365 users to share and collaborate on files and projects directly from a Teams chat or channel. This allows users not to have to change software in order to work and to have files always updated to the latest version made by others, thanks also to notifications sent when someone changes the file under consideration.

It is also possible to create an appointment for a meeting, take notes in it and give access to these notes only to those who have permission.

Windows 365 Cloud PC

Windows 365 is a cloud service that offers a new way to use windows 10 or 11, it allows you to access your apps, data and settings from any device and any endpoint. This offers many advantages, such as picking up where you left off, as the status of your Cloud PC is the same even when you switch devices.

This way of working also offers additional security as they are automatically stored and protected in the cloud and not on the device.

Windows 365 uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) to explicitly verify any access or attempted access to a Cloud PC through integration with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). In addition, within Microsoft Endpoint Manager, multi-factor authentication can be combined with dedicated Windows 365 conditional access policies to instantly assess the access risk for each session.
